Features • The flat-panel speaker system allows sound to radiate from the whole of the front and rear surface of the speaker. This produces a uniform sound across the whole listening area. • The speaker can be used with a third-party speaker stand in a variety of configurations - vertically, horizontally and so on. • The speaker is magnetically shielded. The S-FL1 speaker is a flat-panel type unit that uses NXT® speaker technology. This slim style speaker allows for easy installation anywhere. NXT and the logo are registered trademarks of New Transducers Limited. • This speaker’s nominal impedance is 8 ohms. Please use a power amplifier rated between 4 and 16 ohms. • If you are using a stand, metal fittings, etc. with the speaker, please make sure that they are of sufficient strength to carry the load. • Do not install the speaker near a heater or in direct sunlight. Before you install • The sound of the speaker may be subtlely affected by the listening room conditions. Please take this into account when installing the speaker in order to get the best performance from it. • The speaker weighs 9.9 kg. Please make sure that you choose a stable surface that is far enough from rear and side walls (see the diagram below). Adjust the position so that the left and right walls do not adversely affect the sound. Supplied accessories There are no supplied accessories with this speaker. Caution About installation • This equipment should only be installed by a suitably experienced and qualified person. Please have installation and setting up carried out by factory or sales staff. • Pioneer is in no way responsible for accidents, injury or damage caused by incorrect installation/setting up, misuse, modification or natural disasters. • Before wall- or ceiling-mounting this speaker, please make sure that the wall or ceiling is strong enough to support the speaker's weight (9.9 kg). Please use appropriate fittings, screws, etc. in order to install the speaker properly. You will need a cross-head screwdriver or hexagonal wrench for installation. 2 Use two screws with washers to attach the stand or other fitting to the speaker. Washer Note • Please use screws suitable for the wall material and strength. The following is a guide to the length of screws you should use for the speaker and fittings: Screw Depth of mounting material + washer + 7~15 mm • Do not overtighten the screws as this can cause damage. • To reduce the risk of the speaker falling or toppling over should there be an accident, please reinforce the mounting fittings for added safety. Please take extra care in selecting a location for upright installation as the speaker is less stable. Connecting to your amplifier Caution • Be careful not to short the two pins (1+ and 1–) of the free speaker terminal. Doing so could damage the speaker and/or your amplifier. • Switch off the amplifier before connecting any speakers. There are two connection terminals on the rear side of the speaker. To connect the speaker to your amplifier you will need a suitable speaker cord terminated in a Neutrik Speakon® speaker connector [NL4MP]. Only the 1+ and 1– pins should be connected. These connect to the positive (+) and negative (–) speaker terminals respectively on the amplifier. Neutrik [NL4FX] and [NL4FC] Speakon speaker cord can be used for the connection. Please refer to Neutrik for more information. 1 Use a suitable speaker cord (not supplied) to connect the speaker terminal on your amplifier to one of the input terminals on the rear of the speaker. The speaker’s terminals are exactly the same; use whichever is convenient. • See the manual that came with your amplifier for more details. a Plug the speaker cord connector into the speaker's input terminal. Check the alignment for the connector with the jack before plugging in. Washers Screws Intallation example 3 (other) 1 You can also use the screw holes on the rear of the speaker for installation. Remove the caps to use. You’ll need a 5 mm hexagonal wrench for the screws that keep the caps in place. Connecting another speaker On the rear of the speaker are two terminals; you can use these to connect another speaker of the same type to this speaker. S-FL1 S-FL1 Amplifier • After connecting, gently pull the connector to make sure that it is securely connected. Improper connection can be a cause of noise or other problems. • The number of speakers you may connect will vary according to the impedance rating of the amplifier. See the manual that came with your amplifier for more details. • The diagram below shows the wiring of two connected speakers. Disconnecting Squeeze the lever on the speaker connector with your thumb, then twist the whole connector counterclockwise and pull out. Remarque • Utilisez des vis convenant au matériau et à la résistance de la paroi. Voici une indication de la longueur des vis à utiliser pour le haut-parleur et son support : 2 Utilisez deux vis à rondelle pour immobiliser le support ou une autre fixation sur le haut-parleur. Connexion à votre amplificateur Attention • Veillez à ne pas mettre en court-circuit les deux broches (1+ et 1–) de la borne libre de haut-parleur, car vous pourriez endommager le haut-parleur et/ou l’amplificateur. • Mettez l’amplificateur hors tension avant de brancher un haut-parleur. Deux bornes de connexion sont prévues sur l’arrière du haut-parleur. Pour raccorder celui-ci à votre amplificateur, vous aurez besoin d’un cordon de hautparleur adéquat, muni d’un connecteur Neutrik Speakon® [NL4MP]. Seules les broches 1+ et 1– doivent être raccordées. Elles se connectent respectivement sur les bornes positive (+) et négative (–) de haut-parleur sur votre amplificateur. Un cordon de haut-parleur Neutrik [NL4FX] et [NL4FC] Speakon peut servir pour cette connexion. Pour plus d’informations, reportez-vous à Neutrik. 1 Utilisez un cordon de haut-parleur approprié (non fourni) pour raccorder la borne de haut-parleur de votre amplificateur sur une des bornes d’entrée à l’arrière du haut-parleur. Vous aurez besoin d’une clé hexagonale de 5 mm pour les vis gardant leur capuchon. Branchement d’un autre haut-parleur Deux bornes sont prévues sur l’arrière du haut-parleur. Elles peuvent servir pour le branchement d’un autre haut-parleur de même type que celui-ci. S-FL1 S-FL1 Français Amplificateur • Après cette connexion, tirez légèrement sur le connecteur pour vous assurer qu’il est bien fixé. Une connexion défectueuse serait à l’origine de parasites et d’autres problèmes. Débranchement Avec le pouce, enfoncez le levier prévu sur le connecteur de haut-parleur, puis tournez l’ensemble du connecteur dans le sens antihoraire et retirez-le. • Le nombre de haut-parleurs que vous pouvez raccorder dépend de l’impédance de votre amplificateur. Prestare particolare attenzione nella selezione di una posizione di installazione verticale dato che il diffusore è meno stabile. Collegamento all’amplificatore Attenzione • Fare attenzione a non creare un cortocircuito tra i due spinotti (1+ e 1–) del terminale libero del diffusore. Ciò potrebbe danneggiare il diffusore e/o l’amplificatore. • Spegnere l’amplificatore prima di collegare un qualsiasi diffusore. Vi sono due terminali di collegamento sul retro del diffusore. Per collegare il diffusore all’amplificatore sarà necessario un cavo per diffusori adatto terminato con un connettore Neutrik Speakon® [NL4MP]. Solo gli spinotti 1+ e 1– devono essere collegati. Essi collegano i terminali positivo (+) e negativo (–) rispettivamente sull’amplificatore. Per il collegamento è possibile utilizzare un cavo per diffusori Neutrik [NL4FX] e [NL4FC] Speakon. Fare riferimento a Neutrik per ulteriori informazioni. 1 Utilizzare un cavo per diffusori adatto (non in dotazione) per collegare il terminale del diffusore sull’amplificatore a uno dei terminali di ingresso sul retro del diffusore. Kenmerken • Bij dit platte luidsprekersysteem wordt het geluid via de volledige voorkant en achterkant van de luidspreker uitgestraald. Op deze wijze wordt een zeer uniforme weergave over het hele luistergebied verkregen. • De luidspreker kan op verschillende manieren – verticaal, horizontaal e.d. – gebruikt worden met behulp van een luidsprekerstandaard van een andere fabrikant. • De luidspreker is magnetisch afgeschermd. De S-FL1 luidspreker is een platte luidspreker die gebruikt maakt van NXT® luidsprekertechnologie. Door de platte uitvoering kan de luidspreker praktisch overal opgesteld worden. NXT en het logo zijn gedeponeerde handelsmerken van New Transducers Limited. • De nominale impedantie van deze luidspreker is 8 ohm. Gebruik een eindversterker met een opgegeven impedantie tussen 4 en 16 ohm. • Als u een standaard, metalen montagedelen enz. met de luidspreker gebruikt, dient u zorgvuldig te controleren of deze sterk genoeg zijn om het gewicht van de luidspreker te dragen. • Plaats de luidspreker niet in de buurt van een verwarming of in direct zonlicht. Voordat u met de installatie begint • De geluidsweergave van de luidspreker wordt in bepaalde mate beïnvloed door de omstandigheden in de luisterruimte. Houd hiermee rekening wanneer u de luidspreker installeert zodat een optimale prestatie wordt verkregen. • Het gewicht van de luidspreker is 9,9 kg. Kies een stabiele plaats voor de luidspreker die voldoende verwijderd is van de achter- en zijmuren (zie de onderstaande afbeelding). Stel de positie van de luidspreker zo af dat de linker en rechter muur geen nadelige invloed hebben op het geluid. Bijgeleverde accessoires Bij deze luidspreker worden geen accessoires geleverd. Let op Betreffende de installatie • Deze apparatuur mag uitsluitend geïnstalleerd worden door een vakkundige persoon die de vereiste ervaring bezit voor dit soort werkzaamheden. Laat de installatie en het maken van de instellingen over aan het fabrieks- of verkooppersoneel. • Pioneer kan niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor ongelukken, letsel of beschadiging als gevolg van een foutieve installatie/instellingen, verkeerd gebruik, aangebrachte modificaties of natuurrampen. • Wanneer u de luidspreker aan de muur of het plafond monteert, moet u eerst controleren of de muur of het plafond sterk genoeg is om het gewicht van de luidspreker te dragen (9,9 kg). Neem contact op met de vakman voor verdere informatie. Gebruik de vereiste montagedelen, schroeven enz. om de luidspreker te bevestigen. Bij de montage hebt u een kruiskopschroevendraaier of inbussleutel nodig. Opmerking • Gebruik schroeven die geschikt zijn voor het materiaal en de sterkte van de muur. Hieronder ziet u de aanbevolen lengte van de schroeven die u moet gebruiken voor de luidspreker en de montagedelen: 2 Gebruik twee schroeven met sluitringen om de luidsprekerstandaard of een ander montagedeel aan de luidspreker te bevestigen. Ga extra zorgvuldig te werk bij het uitzoeken van een plaats wanneer de luidspreker recht overeind wordt geplaatst, want de luidspreker staat in dit geval minder stabiel. Aansluiten op de versterker Let op • Wees voorzichtig dat u de twee pennen (1+ en 1–) van de vrije luidsprekeraansluiting niet kortsluit. Dit kan resulteren in beschadiging van de luidspreker en/of de versterker. • Schakel de versterker uit voordat u de luidspreker aansluit. Er zijn twee aansluitcontacten aan de achterkant van de luidspreker. Om de luidspreker op de versterker aan te sluiten hebt u een geschikt luidsprekersnoer nodig dat voorzien is van een Neutrik Speakon® luidsprekerstekker [NL4MP] aan het uiteinde. Alleen de 1+ en 1– pennen moeten aangesloten worden. Deze dienen met de positieve (+) en negatieve (–) luidsprekeraansluitingen van de versterker te worden verbonden. Voor de verbinding kan een Neutrik [NL4FX] en [NL4FC] Speakon luidsprekersnoer worden gebruikt. Raadpleeg Neutrik voor verdere informatie. 1 Verbind de luidsprekeraansluiting van de versterker met een geschikt luidsprekersnoer (niet bijgeleverd) met een van de ingangsaansluitingen aan de achterkant van de luidspreker. De twee aansluitingen op de luidspreker zijn precies hetzelfde; u kunt de gewenste aansluiting gebruiken. • Zie de handleiding van de versterker voor verdere informatie. a Steek de stekker van het luidsprekersnoer in de ingangsaansluiting van de luidspreker. Controleer of de stekker correct uitgelijnd is voordat u deze naar binnen steekt. Sluitring Schroef Installatievoorbeeld 3 (overige montage) 1 U kunt ook de schroefgaten aan de achterkant van de luidspreker voor de montage gebruiken. Verwijder de kapjes om deze gaten te gebruiken. U hebt een 5 mm inbussleutel nodig om de schroeven los te draaien waarmee de kapjes zijn aangebracht. Emplee fijadores, tornillos, etc. apropiados para poder instalar correctamente el altavoz. Necesitará un destornillador de cabeza en cruz o una llave hexagonal para realizar la instalación. 2 Emplee dos tornillos con arandelas para montar el soporte u otros fijadores al altavoz. Arandela Nota • Emplee tornillos que sean adecuados para el material y resistencia de la pared. Conexión al amplificador Precaución • Tenga cuidado para no cortocircuitas los contactos (1+ y 1–) del terminal libre del altavoz. De lo contrario, podría dañar el altavoz y/o el amplificador. • Desconecte la alimentación del amplificador antes de conectar cualquier altavoz. Hay dos terminales de conexión en el lado posterior del altavoz. Para conectar el altavoz al amplificador, necesitará un cable de altavoz adecuado terminado en un conector de altavoz Neutrik Speakon® [NL4MP]. Sólo deberán conectarse los contactos 1+ y 1–.
